About the Role

The Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) is seeking submissions from BuyICT suppliers for the provision of APS6- equivalent Business Analyst services to support strategic, digital, service delivery and business transformation initiatives.

Key duties
The Opportunity
We are seeking skilled APS6-equivalent Business Analysts to work across operational and delivery contexts to understand business needs, document requirements, map processes, analyse impacts and support practical delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysts may:

  • Gather, analyse and document requirements
  • Map processes, identify issues and recommend improvements
  • Support workshops and discovery across business and technical teams
  • Translate business needs into clear analysis artefacts
  • Analyse impacts, dependencies and risks to support delivery
  • Support data-related business analysis where required, including documenting business rules, data flows, reporting needs and impacts on business processes.

What We’re Looking For
Business Analysts will typically bring:

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with requirements, process analysis and related artefacts
  • Ability to work across business and technical contexts
  • Sound judgement, adaptability and a focus on practical outcomes

Experience with frameworks such as BABOK, agile, human-centred design, user-centred design and the Digital Service Standard is desirable. Candidates should be able to adapt their approach across structured and evolving delivery environments while maintaining stakeholder alignment and delivery momentum.
